West Ham by Christmas
A difficult run of 4 games followed by what could conceived as "6" pointers - Does Bilic get the sack (not the one from the old Father Xmas) if the results dont roll in?

Be happy to nick a win from the next 4 games, that's for sure.

Re: West Ham by Christmas
Unfortunately from the next 4, the way we are playing I genuinely would be surprised if we even pick up 1 point.

No matter how many times Dimi puts it on a plate (Which he has been even though some of our fans want to question his desire) we just don't have a single striker to put them away, before anyone says Sakho, even if Bilic does play him he hasn't played in months so will take those 4 games to get up to speed, that's even if he features at all.

Obviously it is West Ham and we could probably win 1-0 tomorrow.

Hopefully.

Re: West Ham by Christmas
It's a worrying 4 games coming up - especially with three of them being away.

Realistically we might hope for 2 draws or a win and a draw in that lot, so 2 - 4 points will be about as hopeful as one could be.

Puts colossal emphasis on the following two games though, and the knives will certainly be out BEFORE those two games when the majority just look at the win/loss column.

It's not these 4 games though that are the issue - it's the poor start against opposition we could easily have picked up points from that will be what does for us. A run of about 6 or 7 games where we needed to target big points.

However, I don't see Bilic getting the sack, provided we are competitive in the games coming up. Will be more about how the team performs.

Fully agree with your last para. The manner of the defeats will be where the focus will be, if we go down 3-0 4-0 in a couple of them looking totally inept he will be under big pressure, although he will still get the Burnley and Hull games, and rightly so to be fair.

Re: West Ham by Christmas
So I assume we can't play Zaza as not to incur this transfer cost not that we'd want to anyway. Calleri is toilet and Fletcher a rookie.

So unless we have Sakho and/or Carroll fit we are totally toothless in attack.

Respect the 0-0 draw and park the bus.

We are in a. Relegation battle until the end of the season.

I have no doubt whatsoever that on the day I'm pulling crackers, wearing silly hats and tucking into my roast turkey, the team that I love will be deep inside the relegation zone.

Only Sunderland can keep us off the bottom.

Re: West Ham by Christmas
Spurs on saturday will set the tone, if we get beat badly we are looking at 4 straight defeats.
get something and we can start to limit the damage.
if we win the two games we should, and pick up the odd point we might get 7/8 points from 6 games. good enough.

If we are in the relegation places or a point above I reckon he'll get the boot so a new manager can use the Jan transfer window as this has all the hallmarks of Avram Grant's reign.

How many on here had already written off Arsenal & Liverpool away the moment the fixture list was announced?

No, I don't EXPECT anything from those games, either, but fuck me, some of you STILL don't get what being West Ham is all about.

Re: West Ham by Christmas
LOSE at Tottenham 3-1
DRAW in Manchester 1-1
WIN against Arsenal 2-1
HAMMERED by Liverpool 4-0

Bilic will survive. All this is FACT, obviously.

Re: West Ham by Christmas
Can't really predict games for us as been shown many times.
Really I just want to see some performances to show we have something about us even if we don't pick up many points in those early games.
Currently we scrape along and don't play well collectively for 90mins in games.

I'm not convinced in the managers tactics, his backroom staff or the morale in the squad but I really want to be proved wrong. It hurts every time we lose.

Texas Iron 9:31 Fri Nov 18
Re: West Ham by Christmas
Historically getting anything more than a point a game would ensure safety in the Prem...except when we were relegated with 42...a rare event...

So the target to stay up must be 40 or more points.
Currently 11 points from 11 games...so this must be improved to ensure safety this season.

However if we fail to beat the other relegation contenders at home just before Xmas...Swansea Hull...we are in for a tough fight...

And depending on performances by Bilic and team...it may be time for a change of manager...

Based on results and performances so far I am concerned that Bilic may not have it in him to survive a relegation fight...

Let's see where we are after 17 games...

Let Us Pray...

https://www.google.com/amp/www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/how-many-points-you-need-8405794.amp

Agrees with my analysis ...need at least a point a game to stay up...and in cream season...will need more...as many as 44...but rare...

Target should be 42 for the season...

Enjoy The BFS PIC...
